The R4U Saffron Walden Neighbourhood Plan Horror Show
This week dealt yet another fatal blow to the feckless Residents for Uttlesford regime.
Saffron Walden Town Council, which is also under Residents for Uttlesford control, suffered an embarrassing rebuke of their Neighbourhood Plan after an independent examiner told them to withdraw it.
In their interim findings, the examiner said they had “identified a number of matters which I consider will significantly change the Plan as produced by the TC of behalf of the local community”.
While the Residents for Uttlesford regime’s unelected mandarin, Dan Starr, will no doubt try and put a face-saving spin on things, the simple fact is that this plan has been thrown out as not being fit for purpose due to insufficient sites and use of an out of date evidence base.
This neighbourhood plan failure, allied with the district council’s own Planning and Local Plan chaos proves that the Residents for Uttlesford regime lack the competence to deliver what they were elected to do.
Much like last week’s eye-watering £2.5 million bill for their inept Stansted failure, the Residents for Uttlesford regime’s arrogant have-a-go hobbyist politics raids the pockets of our community.
As we have seen in the past, Uttlesford residents deserve a stable and competent Conservative administration to once again clear up the mess left by others and to get things back on track.
