Following the Mayoral election on Monday evening, Cllr Goddard would like to thank everyone who gave their kind words of support.
"It was close run but unfortunately we were unable to persuade a sufficient number of Councillors from other parties. We will continue to try and bring back a neutral selection system, which used to avoid a lot of negative party politics. I would very much like to thank all those who sent messages of support - I was humbled to receive so many and I hope I can continue working in a way that is deserving of them."
